I'm a major stress eater. Major. And the last couple weeks have been extremely stressful. I got very ill, got laid off from my job, had to scramble to find a new job with 4 weeks to go before my RTW trip, started a new job, have to think about packing, have to think about leaving the life I've made for myself in Sydney, have to think about starting again back in the US, as well as stressing about money (since I was out of work for a week and didn't know how long I would be unemployed). God, it's stressful just typing that out. I have been eating non-stop. I eat from the moment I get to work to the moment I brush my teeth at night. I am pretty sure I've gained at least 5 pounds in the past 2 weeks. This comes at a terrible time as I am going to have to wear my bathing suit in a little over 2 weeks. I need to get a hold of myself and try to deal with my stress in a less destructive way. I'm thinking of buying cucumbers and just eating them as snacks at work all day instead of eating candy and chips.
Uhm...I had the same reaction. I gained 13 lbs in 2 weeks. it was...bad.
